- In general saving image on the hard disc is a time critical operation. Saving a 5 mega pixel image on a i7 PC with a good sata hard disc can take up to 30ms. But the same operation on a Raspberry pi 2 with class 10 SD-Card take up to 30s.
- Doing such operation in grab thread might cause losing frames if garb loop consumes more time than the frame time period of the camera.
- If any low performing board in use, then pixel data can be saved in RAW form on the SD-Card for creating image in offline later on.
- Of course, the offline operation can be done, on a standard PC as well as on ARM board.
