If you try to run e.g. a Basler GigE Vision camera, i.e. ace, scout, racer, having latest firmware version with software libraries using old GenICam versions, e.g. GenICam < V2.x, you may experience long times for opening a camera. The long opening times with older GenICam versions are caused by the poor performance of those versions in caching the more complex GenICam XML files in current Basler cameras.
Suggested Solution: A more recent GenICam version or a new camera firmware is required.
